Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 30, 2025
Last updated: November 30, 2025
HomeCall Vets LLC ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
We collect information necessary to provide veterinary care and to operate our service safely and effectively. Categories include:
- Personal information: name, address, phone number, email, billing information (processed by third-party payment providers).
- Pet health information: pet identifiers, medical history, exam findings, medications, test results and treatment notes.
- Automatically collected data: IP address, device and browser information, and analytics data (cookies).
- Communications: records of messages, calls, and appointment correspondence.
2. How we use your information
- Provide and coordinate veterinary services and in‑home visits.
- Maintain accurate medical records and comply with professional obligations.
- Process payments and billing via secure third‑party processors.
- Send appointment reminders, urgent messages, and transactional notices.
- With opt‑in consent, send newsletters or promotional offers.
Electronic communications (email & SMS/text). We may communicate with you by email, SMS/text message, phone call, or other electronic methods for appointment confirmations, reminders, urgent care notices, and other transactional messages related to your pet’s care. By providing your phone number and/or email address you give us permission to send these communications. Message frequency varies depending on your appointments and care needs; standard carrier message and data rates may apply.
Opt‑out: To stop receiving marketing or non‑transactional electronic messages, reply "STOP" to any SMS/text message you receive from us, or contact us at legal@homecallvets.com or by phone at (808) 900-1833. If you reply "STOP" you should receive a confirmation message; allow a short period for the opt‑out to be processed. Opting out of marketing will not prevent us from sending essential transactional messages necessary for care or safety (for example, appointment confirmations, cancellations, or urgent clinical notifications).
Help & support: For help with SMS messages, reply "HELP" to the SMS message or contact us at legal@homecallvets.com. Carrier message and data rates may still apply.
4. Data security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. While we work to protect data, no electronic system is 100% secure — please avoid sending highly sensitive information by unsecured channels.
5. Data retention
We retain records as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate business needs. When records are no longer required they will be securely deleted or anonymized according to our retention practices.
6. Your rights
Depending on jurisdiction, you may have rights such as:
- Access to or a copy of your personal and pet records
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of personal data (medical records may be retained if required by law)
- Opt out of non-essential communications, including marketing SMS/text messages
To exercise rights, see the contact information below. Note: opting out of marketing SMS/text will not prevent essential transactional messages necessary for your pet’s care.
8. Policy changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Substantive changes will be posted with a revised effective date.
